i dream of a white world

only a few days have past since i was in salen and was living a careless and fun life. being back in the realities of life is strongly overrated. not that working all day and painting all night is not fun…

but! soon i’ll be in the REAL alps! next tuesday i’ll be flying to innsbrooklyn to hang with all my dysfunctional snowboard friends. and once again i get to pretend there are no worries in the world…

snowy weekend

this has been an active weekend out in the snow for totti and i. yesterday was the snowboard contest in the stadion which totti and i checked out. i managed to chat a few minutes with mu (stephan maurer) and hitsch (christian haller) before they did their jumps. they are really the sweetest swiss guys. i also talked briefly with chris sorman who ended up at 2nd place. i miss the burton kids!

today totti and i met up with atti with ester and janne with polly to rumble in the snow. however, ester thought it was a bit too cold and polly was playing a bit too rough because of her size (she means well!!) and had to be on the leash, so totti was on his own. didn’t stop him from having fun! funnest was actually after we left the bullies and crashed a rodesian ridgeback meet. totti LOVES horse sized dogs. afterwards he chased a three year old on a sled who luckily wanted his company! since we were close to the gelhaars we went there for some warming glogg and a delicious dinner before heading home. now i’m comfy on the couch ready for the coming week!

was a bit hard to get any good pictures since they won’t stand still for 2 seconds but i posted what i could.

last night was a lot of fun but a bit sentimental to be “back in my scene”. but i’ll look forward to the new generation’s snowboarders such as noah here below in his aunt’s own designed baby onesie.

isenseven worldpremiere of teenage love grafitti

thursday evening was the big isenseven party and video premiere. i don’t know how many people were there but the place was huge and it was packed! i just had a huge smile on my face and was so happy to be back around “my people”! i was wearing my little strapless leather dress and added leather driving gloves for fun. i of course stuck out like a sore thumb around all the teenies – just the way i like it!

the isenseven crew is not the best crew out there, but somehow it seems like they are the ones having the most fun! where they lack in talent (don’t get me wrong, these guys ride on a very high level – just not elite level) they make up for it in excellent filming and pure joy for snowboarding.

music was great, company was fantastic, the vodka tonics were cold, the movie was fun – in other words – it was a great night!

i got my burton proform card last week and finally placed the order. i’ve been trying to come up with what i need and realized i don’t need anything! didn’t stop me from getting a few things though.

below is my new fabulous setup. stoked.

So, where’s the snow?

snowboard premiere season…

something that i miss tremendously here is going to all the snowboard premieres which are showing now in ibk/muc/zurich. so even though it’s stupid stupid, i have now decided to fly to munich 1/10-4/10 to go to 2 of them. first on thursday there is the world premiere of the new isenseven movie “teenage love graffiti”. then on friday it’s the pirates premiere of “overseas”. on top of this it’s oktoberfest in munich then… it will for sure be 3 crazy nights!

oh and then i have nina’s wedding on saturday afternoon. i’ll arrive at arlanda at 11:20 so should head straight to the church. don’t worry nina, i’ll be there on time and promise not hangover!

my burton boards

i’m planning on selling one or two boards to finance the new board i’m buying (pictures of that in a few weeks) and shot some pictures today. thought it would be nice to post them here. my memories.

2008 feelgood 54 – great board but not as amazing as the new one i’m getting so selling this.

2007 troop 51 – wanted to sell this one as well but might keep for crappy condition days. it’s pretty obused so not likely to sell.

2005 shaun white pro model – purely keeping this board for the amazing graphic. want to put it on the wall.

all together and includes also 2005 feelgood es 154.

i also had 2005 troop 155 and 2006 troop 151 but those i sold way back. getting at least one new board per season will be a habit hard to break…

today was a really sweaty day and i took the opportunity to work outside. we’ve been working on these clinic kits which we’ll send to our sales reps for months. they will use these when travelling to stores to give presentations about our products. we received the last item today (a t-shirt which says BURTON SHREDUCATED to give the store employees) and it was time to pack it all up. it’s pretty exciting to be able to send all of this out in time for the reps as it has never happened in this way before. definitely a project i’m proud of!

we will continue tomorrow and will take some images of the content as well.
