a good day

since i’ve been dying to get some sun, i put my trust in the weather reports, got to bed early last night and got up with the sun this morning. finally blue skies and sun!

totti and i started off the day with a trip to the gelhaars where i had breakfast. then we went for a walk in lill-jan skogen before heading to stadion where lg winterjam snowboard and ski big air contest was going on. a few burton riders which i know from before were competing but it’s just not my scene anymore. was fun to go there, but honestly i don’t miss it.

now i’m home on the couch with totti, cup of tea and tv on. looks like it’s gonna be a quiet evening.

still don’t have my camera so sorry about the bad picture quality.

thinking about my little pup back home and digging up old photos. Here he’s 5 weeks old and still living with his biological mommy.

today i’m happy that:

i have a leather couch. it’s just easier to clean up dog diarreha then.

can i please get a time-out?

stockholm is a wonderful city. it really is. but right now the city is just covered in clouds and people with frowns. it’s the gray season and everyone here just waits for it to be over. if i had some vacation days left, this would be the time to use them. but luckily, christmas is just 6 weeks away. but until then…?

what else could go wrong?

broken camera, problems with deliveries, ruined countertop and more. i’m just so sick of it all.

atleast you know now why it’s so quiet here.

totti’s trip to the vet

he starts of the walk happy and excited to “read” the messages left by the other city dogs on curbs and poles and leaves new messages for them to “read”. but after a while his becoming hesitant, realizing something isn’t right. one block away from the veterinarian he turns on the breaks and i have to carry him the rest of the way.

the first vet fears the worst. she doesn’t see a cut in the eye and thinks this is some sort of eye disease. totti is shaking like a leaf and squeezing his eye shut as hard as he cans during the examination. he’s obviously not feeling well and the nice vet decides to call in the specialist.

totti and i sit down in another room and waits for this expert to show up and an hour later she’s ready for him. totti has now gotten used to the hospital and is not as hesitant to show the new vet his now blue blurry eye. they all praise him for being such a nice and handsome miniature bull terrier.

and then the new vet sees it. there is a small speck of sand corn which has penetrated the lens. according to the vet is this the most painful injury to the eye. BUT it’s treatable!

so after a trip to the pharmacy to pick up eye drops and creams plus painkillers, totti is now home and guessing sleeping. because of his condition he’s getting special treatment today and gets to sleep on the bed. my little cosy totts. at least he should be better soon!

we spent less than 24hrs on the island but still worth the trip. and linus had to work of course. first in the kitchen as my personal chef and then pulling up the boat together with his dad. neighbor Anders helped as well.

it’s so wonderful to be out there regardless of the weather conditions. it’s a perfect place to relax, eat and drink good and just be. i’m hoping to take a trip back soon. thanksgiving maybe?

tuesday lunch and dreaming myself away. i’m feeling a bit restless these days and keep wishing for bigger and better things. who knows what’s coming for me in the future? i’ll give it another month to see how things go, but if nothing happens i have to make my own luck. scary but true.

back from trip to båstad

oh how fast the weekend went… it felt like all we did was driving and that we barely arrived before we had to turn back and return to stockholm. but still worth it. however, next time i’m planning on staying longer. more pictures later of course. now, relaxing with my boys.
