took a long nap, got my luggage with dress and were ready for party! first i went to yvonne and bartosz place (amazing apartment!) and had dinner and many glasses of wine combined with great conversations and fun.

afterwards we headed to the air & style vip party where we struggled to get in. i managed to get a riders wristband and headed in for some great party. i got to see so many awesome friends i hadn’t seen in a year and of course verena, babsi and the others were there as well.

i had my little camera with me and snapped some funny pictures. we all look pretty drunk but i swear that wasn’t the case. we just had so much fun and enjoyed being silly. in fact, so much that we got home at 5.30 am!

verena has to do some work for an hour so i’m taking the opportunity to write a bit about my trip so far. and what a trip…

it was my first time flying with airberlin/niki and i was very pleasantly surprised by the airline. however, i’m a lot less impressed with the airports in stockholm and innsbruck. the whole trip started with delays due to them not getting a slot time to take off. then the check-in people screwed up and lost the headcount which made us one hour late. so unprofessional. since i just had an hour lay-over in vienna, i was pretty sure i’d miss my connecting flight. but the pilots managed to get us to vienna with just a 30 minutes delay and i made it to my innsbruck flight. but my luggage with my party dress and everything didn’t make it. so typical. and of course the innsbruck airport staff was anything but customer friendly. austrian hospitality…

anyways, i arrived and verena picked me up and it was amazing to see my friends. i borrowed some clothes and shoes from babsi and was ready for party. i went with verena to weekender where the entire snowboard community had gathered. it’s like a world which just stays still. same people and same looks. but so much fun to see my old colleagues and others.

then we headed to babsi’s birthday party which was a bit outside the city. they had arranged it so nicely with an open bar and food and of course great music. unfortunately, i was so tired from the week and travel that i couldn’t really enjoy the evening. we finally headed home at 3 and i was completely exhausted.

i did a really crappy job taking pictures (probably because i was so tired) but here are a few:

and i sneak started yesterday with drinks at riche with the wonderful carmela who was in town. i got to meet some great friends of hers and just had a super nice time. i love it when you meet people who you just click with. unfortunately my camera stayed at home, but i bet it will get plenty of use the next few days in ibk. i’m heading to the airport in just 2hrs and i’m SO excited!

totti’s eye seems a lot better so i’m guessing the medicine is working. i just want my little totts to be all healed again!

sunny fall/winter days are rare in stockholm and the days are so short. that’s why these lunch walks mean so much to me. and i think to totti!

now we’re back home on the couch and i hope totti is not in too much pain. he has a bad infection in his iris which we have received new medication for. i’m just really hoping this will help now. to be continued…
