Riga trip summary

Linus and I got back from our short trip to Riga yesterday and we’d like to recommend it to everyone! Here’s a little summary:

Wednesday evening we boarded Silja Festival which took direction towards Riga.

The standard of this boat was pretty poor and passengers were mostly foreign truck drivers. Still, we had some good drinks and food.

We arrived in Riga Thursday lunch time and checked in to the brand new four star Tallink Hotel Riga.

Then it was time to head out in Riga but unfortunately we weren’t very lucky with the weather. We decided to find a spa and came across Espa. I got a package deal with access to the pool and sauna area, foot rub, back peeling and hot stone massage, facial and head massage and lunch for less than €100. The place was absolutely amazing and we will for sure go there again some time.

Afterwards we had drinks in the skyline bar on the 26th floor. The drinks were the best I’ve ever had and the view outstanding.

We finished the day with a big dinner at the hotel and I had pumpkin soup and duck – my favorites!

Friday morning after breakfast I went to the salon to get a hair cut and then we headed out in a now sunny Riga.

And went to museum.

But then it was time to head back and we boarded ”Romantika” which was a much nicer ferry than the one we came to Riga on.

We had some drinks and enjoyed the shows onboard before hitting the bed. And when we woke up we were already in Stockholm and that’s the end of our trip to Riga!

The good life

The day started with yet another interview for a job that sounds very interesting. I’m excited about all possibilities I’m standing in front of and will not satisfy for anything but the best.
But now I’m home with my two boys and loving another day off. I worked mon-tues so plan on enjoying to have this free time now. As you can see, Totti is enjoying his low stress life as well! 😀

Autumn stroll on Stora Essingen

Even when you don’t have a job you can be happy for the weekend to come! Totti and I had a late breakfast and headed then out in the sunny autumn weather. Minus an insane rottweiler who wanted Totti for a snack (we ran), it was a great walk and the colors which surrond us now are breathtaking.

This week I’ve been to the gym several times, helped out at the Disney office twice (they can’t live without me ;)), seen ”The Social Network” with Charlie (awesome movie – see it!), been to a job interview (went well), and of course spending time with my little Totts. I’m loving this time off! Today I’m planning to open up my Grey’s Anatomy Season 6 box, get started on my camera cases and just enjoy watching Totti chew on his bone. 🙂

Taking some time off (and loving it!)

Yesterday – Did some laundry, went to the gym, took Totti to the vet (Totti’s eye is looking very good!), bought a new pair of jeans, drank a smoothie, visited Astrid and Ester, looked at an apartment (too small but had a nice big terrace), and watched some tv.

Today –  Cleaned up the apartment a bit, went to the hairdresser, bought a new lipgloss, had my nails done, and now I’m about to go outside for a long walk with Totti.

I’m loving this life! It’s not often that you can take time off like this in your life so I’m planning on making the best out of it and enjoy every moment! When I start working again it will be at my dream job!
