swedish (well, norwegian) music

for every week i present you swedish music i get more convinced that the best music comes from sweden!!! this band is actually from norway but song is in collaboration with swedish singer from the knife which i presented you awhile back. and i mean this song… i have no words for it. just listen to it. loud.

Utviknings Totti

Jakob Karr FAN

Another thing I do while staying home sick is watching “So you think you can dance?” and Jakob Karr is my favorite and I bet he already won (we’re a bit after with showing the episodes here in Sweden). I mean, the man is just amazing.

This one below is particularly spectacular to me. I usually find hip-hop boring but here we have one contemporary dancer and one ballroom dancer who are just oozing confidence and delivering the story to perfection. In short: love it.

And one when he’s more in his style:

Stuck in bed

Yup, I’m very rarely sick and if I am just for like 24hr. But this time it’s dragging on. I walked to 7 eleven earlier to buy blueberry soup/juice (it’s a swedish thing) and during the 2 min walk there I really wondered if I would make it the whole way without fainting.

Things I do to keep myself (and Totti) busy:
- Sleeping
- Drinking tons and tons of tea
- Watching Brothers and Sisters second season
- Throwing dog treats from couch and having Totti run for the pieces
- Playing stupid games on my cellphone

Yes, my life is currently boring. Being sick sucks.

I’m alive!

Well barely after a nasty stomach bug which has left me at bed rest for 2 days. And since I’m about to fall down to the floor of weakness just from taking Totti to the backyard, I guess I’ll have another day to spend in bed ahead of me. Lucky for me I have 3 seasons of Brothers & Sisters to watch…

swedish music

here we go, the best (swedish) band ever. according to me at least. unfortunately they don’t seem to like us fans to share youtube videos so this one has to do. this is an amazing song from their latest album but listen to their older stuff as well, they are all worthy your time. you won’t understand the lyrics, but i don’t think it’s necessary.

Weekened summary

- Met up with Astrid, Joel and Ester in Hagaparken on Saturday morning and went for a walk on the ice. temperature was somewhere around -15 celsius. Yikes! Dogs paws cramped up a lot from the cold but other than that they enjoyed it. I forgot my memory card for my camera and got no pictures. hopefully I can steal some from Astrid later.

- Drove to Täby and helped Sofia, Linus sister, with the move. We weren’t very helpful, but it’s so hard when it’s not your own place!

- Nice, calm Saturday evening in front of the TV and watched the final of swedish Survivor (Robinson) and then Inglourious Bastards.

- Sunday lunch and we decided to head up to Åkersberga (Margaretelund) to look at a house. We’re not ready yet to move forward, but it’s good to have an idea what’s out there. It’s a wonderful area which I definitely could see myself living in.

- Back to Sofia’s house and we were even less helpful…

- Sunday evening and Linus headed to Arlanda to be away for another 10 days and Totti and I watched the acclaimed Swedish movie Prinsessa.

The End.

The snow

Totti and I headed out in the snow here on Stora Essingen and for once I had my camera with me and of course I have to share some pictures. It was already super dark but the snow brightens the surroundings. I can’t believe that we’ve had snow in Stockholm since December 15th! I’ve never experienced winter like this before. Amazing.

PS: Notice that Totti’s stitches are gone! Linus and Tott went to Strömsholm today for a checkup and everything went perfect!

The snow is back

And so is Linus so it will be a bit silent here for a few days. The plan was to head out to Ålön for a chill weekend, but now it’s looking more like it will be a working weekend for me with painting and fixing up the apartment a bit. I’ve only lived there for a bit over a year but I’m already planning on selling it. Hopefully I’ll make a nice little profit to put into the next place.

Have a great weekend!

evening routine

Dinner on the couch with the company of Totti. Some people call it begging but for me it’s just company. :D
